Call for Papers
Hortonworks and Yahoo! are proud to announce that the Call for Papers for the 5th Annual Hadoop Summit is now open.
This year’s event is all about enabling the next generation data platform. If you are a practitioner, business leader, architect, data scientist and or Hadoop developer and have something important to share, we welcome your submission. All presenters receive a complementary all-access pass to Hadoop Summit.
We are particularly interested in compelling use cases and success stories, best practices, cautionary tales and technology insights. To submit your proposal, please visit our Call for Papers site.
Hadoop Summit will include tracks focused on the following topics:
- Future of Hadoop: featuring sessions about key projects and research efforts driving innovation in and around the Apache Hadoop platform.
- Deployment and Operations: featuring session focused on the deployment and operations of Hadoop clusters with an emphasis on tips, tricks and best practices.
- Enterprise Data Architecture: featuring sessions focused on how Apache Hadoop fits within broader enterprise data architectures.
- Data Science and Advanced Research: featuring sessions on tools, algorithms and data science as well as advanced research and emerging applications that use and extend Hadoop.
- Applications, Analytics, and Business Intelligence: featuring sessions on how Hadoop is powering a new generation of business applications and enhancing existing analytics and BI solutions.
- Hadoop in Action: featuring sessions about how Hadoop is enabling businesses across a wide range of industries to become data-driven.
The deadline to submit an abstract for consideration has been extended to March 7, 2012. Papers will be reviewed by a committee of industry experts who will select presentations that best highlight innovative projects focused on spreading awareness and building momentum for the burgeoning Apache Hadoop market. Accepted presenters will be notified on or before March 21, 2012
If your presentation is accepted, you will receive an All Access pass at no cost. Speakers must pay for their own travel and accommodation.
All presentations are 45 minutes in length and should include time for Q&A.
